On CF Sarria - Santiago (Group)

Choosing to engage WAW travel was the wisest decision when we made our first trip to walk the Camino from Sarria to Santiago in early October over 6 walking days and extra night in Santiago. We are 2 women from Singapore 🇸🇬 Roberto made our dream walk possible and thoughtfully carved out a delightful programme. Roberto was responsive, helpful and gave great suggestions on places to visit in their interactive travel document which was easy to use. All hotels were good, luggage transfer smooth and the transfers were punctual and comfortable. The welcome dinner in Santiago was exquisite and timed perfectly after prilgrims evening mass. It was a calm and enjoyable process. I could not ask for more - we are beyond delighted with the professionalism and their local knowledge. I would say WAW travel is the right choice if if you need a steady navigator to help with arrangements, leaving you at ease to enjoy your dream Camino or walking holiday 🙏🏻👍🏻

Roberto and his team at WAW Travel were exceptional. Roberto planned our recent 5 week trip through Northern Spain. It was without question the best trip we have ever done. It is difficult not to resort to hyperbole when speaking of Roberto. We worked with him for months planning the trip. Through our many remote meetings and emails, he got to know us and put together the perfect trip. He is intimately knowledgeable about northern Spain and came up with an amazing itinerary, which began with our Camino de Santiago from León via e-bikes. Roberto took care of every detail, and thanks to his intricate planning we had an amazing Camino. An added bonus is that because he is friends with some of the innkeepers with whom we stayed, we were received by them with warmth and kindness, as if we were family. After our Camino, we did a road trip from Santiago to Finisterre and ending in a beautiful 1500s farmhouse in the Costa Brava. Roberto and his team ( kudos to Lorie) put together a detailed interactive itinerary that included live links to our hotels, places of interest along the way and in our destination, food recommendations and other pertinent information. We stayed at some incredible places that we would not have found on our own, including, historic farmhouses, paradores and boutique hotels. Thanks to the intricate itinerary we were able to explore tiny seaside villages, out of the way mountain towns, isolated beaches and gorgeous hikes. Roberto was always available to answer any questions or assist with any last minute details. Aside from his expertise and professionalism, Roberto is warm and caring. Because we worked so closely with him to plan our trip, we have become personal friends, and I hope that we can maintain our friendship for years to come. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and am available to answer any questions if you are on the fence about retaining his services.

Roberto did a great job of organising lovely hotels, smooth baggage collection and providing all the details and support needed for our hiking tour on Via Francigena.

My dad aged 70+ always had the dream to walk the camino and asked me if I could accompany him to realise this dream. I'm no stranger to pilgrimages and always organized it myself. In this situation with my dad we felt it would be a better experience for him to join the group pilgrimage from Sarria to Santiago organized by WAW.travel and lead by Annemiek. And it was a great experience for my dad and me. You are always yourself responsible to create a great Camino. But it helps a lot that Annemiek has the rare ability to bring the group together, give you the freedom you need during the walk and is a great person to talk with in person. We both enjoyed the combination of interacting with the other group members and at other moments,when we needed it, walking by ourself with our own thoughts. As you can read in other reviews the organization of the walks and support by WAW is excellent. We enjoyed good hotels, great places to drink coffee, have lunch or dinner. By now it should be clear that I can really recommend the group travels from Sarria to Santiago by WAW. In my opinion it's a great introduction to walking a Camino. The route is not difficult and with some practice you can enjoy it to the fullest. It's also a great way to meet new and interesting people. As everything is taken care of, you can just focus on making your Camino a great experience. Thank you WAW and especially Annemiek for a great experience for my dad and me.

We have just came back from seven glorious days walking the south coast of Minorca, Cami de Cavalls, expertly organised by WAW. From start to finish there were faultless hotels all excellently organised. The food was great. Our luggage was already in our room every day when we arrived. I was initially a bit sceptical of a digital travel document, but this was very easy to use and we were able to access it every day for our detailed itenary. This detailed landmarks and what to look out for, mileage and terrain, the hotel location etc. Most of the hotels were near the start of the trail ready for the next morning, and the hotels were a great selection of what Minorca had to offer. I would not hesitate to recommend WAW and will be contacting them soon to ask them to organise our return to Minorca to walk the north coast.
