Walking strengthens your immune system

Walking for just 30 minutes a day reduces your risk of catching a cold or flu. Walking for 45 minutes a day can even halve the risk of common respiratory symptoms. Regular walking also has a positive effect on brain ageing, helps prevent cardiovascular disease, supports mobility for people with arthritis, and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes by as much as 58 percent.
